Stained Grass Window marks its 6th year of performing in the Pennsylvania/New York/New Jersey region in 1999. And we feature a new face in the form of Rick Marcera, joining us on acoustic bass. Rick plays guitar, mandolin, and has been known to use horns and drums when the need arises. But of greater significance is what he brings to us vocally. Listen for a big change in the harmony presentation of Stained Grass Window this year.
We draw our music from a wide variety of sources including traditional bluegrass, gospel, jazz, and other genres. And the harmonica of Bob Meehan brings a distinctive sound to the music we do. George Graham, host of WVIA-FM's Homegrown Music calls us "eclectic."
Over the past six years we've had the privilege of performing at the larger festivals in the region including Wind Gap, Stonyfork, Wise Owl, Jerseytown, Central Pennsylvania Festival of the Arts, Wilkes-Barre Fine Arts Festival and many others. We've been featured performers on WVIA FM and television and we've managed to release two recordings just for good measure. Stained Grass Window is a member of IBMA.
