Personnel Change for Stained Grass Window
Spring is a time of change and for us the change involves personnel. Mary Hermann, an original member of Stained Grass Window is now devoting all her attention to an all female performing unit, the Daughters of Bluegrass. So we welcome as our new bass player Rick Marcera. A talented musician, Rick plays guitar and mandolin in addition to his duties on bass plus he provides lead, tenor, and baritone vocals.
Rick has long been active as a musician playing genres of music other than bluegrass. He counts drums and horns among those instruments with which he feels comfortable.
He credits his wife for introducing him to bluegrass music. At first he didn't think too much of bluegrass but as he continued to listened he became increasingly impressed with the technical demands of playing bluegrass well.
Rick resides in Orangeville PA and his wife Linda is a member of the Daughters of Bluegrass along with SGW alum Mary Hermann.

Pane in the Grass, the second recording released by Stained Grass Window has been reviewed in the April issue of Bluegrass Unlimited. This very favorable review has gotten us some attention amongst radio personalities, other reviewers, and a number of bluegrass fans who wrote to us wanting to purchase a copy.

Mindful of our responsibilities to the general public as members of the entertainment industry, Stained Grass Window is offering remedial instruction about our name. Among the most printable things we are called include:
Stained Glass Window
Strained Gas Window
Stain Glass Bluegrass
None of these aliases are correct. Look for the genuine STAINED GRASS WINDOW name wherever bluegrass music is played.
